Haans are a race of insectoid creatures who float across Bretheda, on balloons of spun webbing.1
Appearance
A haan is a six-legged arthropod that is typically 8 feet long and weighs 180 pounds.1
Abilities
Haans can create silk balloons buoyed by gases the expel from tubular protrusions. These organic balloons and expulsions propel them through the tumultuous currents of a gas giant. They burn prey by igniting flammable jets of gas with sparks from striking their leg chitin, then capture it in a balloon of webbing.1
Society
Haans shun most tools and technology, though some are unable to resist the pull of traveling the stars (and those who do are naturally adept starship pilots). However, haans who abandon Bretheda are disowned and mourned as though they were dead.1
