Kayals, also known as fetchlings, are descendants of humans who long ago became trapped on the Shadow Plane and became permeated with the Shadow Plane's essence.1
Appearance
Kayals are tall and slender in build, with stark white or black hair, grey skin and pale yellow eyes. On the Material Plane, they often conceal themselves with masks or cloaks.1
Society
Kayals are usually morally neutral, due to their millennia of dealings with the Shadow Plane's natives, including those considered to be evil or dangerous. The kayals view such dealings pragmatically, as a matter of simple survival. They often travel to the Material Plane to perform nefarious deeds, and are often viewed with suspicion by those who have had bad dealings with their ancestors.1
