Jabask, also known as Jabask the Unbroken, is a lashunta city-state located deep within the Glowsilk Jungle of northern Asana on the planet Castrovel. It is considered the most traditional of the lashunta city-states, and is only accessible via aiudara, difficult overland travel, or risky shuttle flights. The city-state protects itself with concrete ramparts from the jungle around it, and has built numerous thick bunkers where citizens hide from the frequent moldstorms that plague the area. During calm periods between these storms, the city is beautifully illuminated by the natural lights from which the Glowsilk Jungle gets its name.

Somana Tree-Sages

Jabask is also a home of the Somana Tree-Sages, intelligent, magical plant-creatures that dispense esoteric wisdom from time to time and whose branches are tended by the furry, split-tailed nobosets. The greatest of the Tree-Sages is known as the Prophet of the Wood, whose unusual proclamations take the form of advanced scientific discoveries or accurate predictions of the future. They claim these revalations are due to the Tree-Sages' mystical connection with a power they refer to as the Ken. In exchange for these revelations, the Tree-Sages are protected by the city-state from such natural predators as the trioptic fangsaras.

Moldstorms

Jabask is frequently hit by dangerous moldstorms that eat through seals and electronics and destroy any exposed technology, forcing the citizens to take shelter in specially hardened bunkers when the mold sirens sound.
