Qabarat, also called the Shining Jewel of the Western Sea, is a great lashunta city-state and the largest spaceport in the planet Castrovel in the Pact Worlds system.

Geography

Qabarat is situated at the mouth of the Yaro River, where it flows to the Western Sea, past the sea cliffs at the edge of the Stormshield Mountains on the western coast of Asana.

Government

Qabarat is ruled by Lady Morana Kesh and her chief consort and battle leader, Grantaeus, who quietly but desperately strive to maintain a traditional government, preventing Asana from becoming a corporate free-for-all.

Places of interest

Qabarat is an architectural marvel, blending ancient walls made from glittering shells with more modern construction. Visitors to Qabarat often arrive in the spaceport at Ship's End. Between this district and the Brightstreets, the city's commercial centre, lie the Battle Yards, where soldiers train, and the city's numerous universities that are renowned for their extensive pre-Gap archives. These universities train some of the best explorers starship navigators, and academics in the Pact Worlds system. There are several public aiudara that link Qabarat with other settlements including isolated Laubu Mesa, Komena in the Floating Shards, Jabask the Unbroken, or Candares.
