The Caulborn are an intelligent, extraplanar species with two mouths and crests of skin and bone where eyes would normally be on a humanoid. They inhabit the Towers of Memory on Castrovel's continent of the Colonies. The Caulborn collect and catalog memories using their psychic powers and gain sustenance from this extraction. Due to an ancient taboo, they are left in peace by the dominant formians of that continent, although others occasionaly approach the Caulborn for information and otherworldly advice, or to have the memories of a particularly important individual preserved for all time. These requests remain rare as the Caulborn demand a strangely personal price for this service.
