Queensrock
Queensrock is a large formian hive-city located in the northern part of the Colonies, on the Gulf of Legions.1
Geography
Queensrock is situated offshore in the northern Gulf of Legions, on an artificial island constructed along with the narrow causeways connecting it to shore. It resembles an enormous termite mound, with a mud-colored exterior broken by gaping docking bays and tunnels, with the occasional steel-and-glass addition. Inside, its chambers are a disconcerting mix of traditional formian architecture and spaces designed to make other species feel at home, with limited degrees of success.1
Government
Queensrock is ruled by Morgebard of the Thousand Spines. While the queen herself is almost never seen, her elaborately branded Heralds are a constant presence in the city, and she can peer through their eyes and possess their bodies if needed.1
History
Thousands of formian workers gave their lives to the monumental task of engineering the city and causeways during the construction of Queensrock in ages past. In recent ages, Queen Morgebard has brought her city to prominence by seeking trade and collaboration with the Pact Worlds.1
