Damaya
During puberty all lashuntas go through a self-directed genetic adaptation that transforms them into one of three distinct groups: the damayas, korashas, and the unbound. Each group is not only physiologically different and distinct from the other two, but also has a higher chance of developing certain psychological traits. Damayas, for instance, generally grow up to be be taller, calmer, and more well-spoken than korashas. They also tend to be more law-abiding and intellectually-minded and are therefore encouraged to join scholarly, political, or diplomatic professions.123 Except during wartime, most lashunta leaders are generally damayas.3
