Somana Tree-Sages are intelligent and highly magical plant creatures that dispense esoteric wisdom from time to time and whose branches are tended by the furry, split-tailed nobosets. Known to live in the Glowsilk Jungle of northern Asana on the planet Castrovel, the greatest of the Tree-Sages is called the Prophet of the Wood, whose unusual proclamations take the form of advanced scientific discoveries or accurate predictions of the future. They claim these revalations are due to the Tree-Sages' mystical connection with a power they refer to as the Ken. In exchange for these revelations, the Tree-Sages are protected by the city-state of Jabask from such natural predators as the trioptic fangsaras.
