Eborth is a remote osharu colony located in the Vast.1
Geography
Eborth is the only planet orbiting a red dwarf star in a distant corner of the Vast, the rest of the astronomical objects in the system having been destroyed and turned into four mineral-rich asteroid belts in a mega-construction project. This dense planet possesses a high concentration of metals.2
Inhabitants
Eborth is home to a population of osharu, android and gnome colonists, most of whom live in the city of Mitam. When exploring pre-Gap ruins, the colonists inadvertently awakened an ancient gray goo swarm which overran a third of the planet's surface before being stopped. In 318 AG, Eborth petitioned for protectorate status in the Pact Worlds. The Pact Council, citing the planet's volatility, denied the request. In 321 AG, another petition was sent, with Eborth's leadership offering technology resistant to the Data Scourge in exchange for protectorate status.21
