Quandali is the largely-molten, mineral-rich first planet in the Chuuva system.1

Geography

Quandali's equatorial regions are seas of molten lava, while the poles are cool enough to have solid ground. Enormous, homogenous deposits of minerals are common on these continents.1

History

When the shirrens first arrived in the Chuuva system, Quandali was considered too inhospitable; instead, they later invited a contingent of quorlus from other solar systems to settle in Quandali. The quorlus built the city of Quilordem at the south pole. In 319 AG, when the system was invaded by the Swarm, Quandali's mineral resources were stripped off, disrupting the delicate equatorial-polar stability.1

Inhabitants

By 319 AG, Quandali was home to several thousand quorlus. They operated some small-scale mining, but the heat deters more extensive operations. When the Swarm attacked, the quorlus initially resisted before going into hiding, and were mostly untouched, as their silicon-based anatomy rendered them inedible to the carbon-based Swarm.1

On Quandali's north pole, the town of Danloric survived the Swarm invasion with the 'help' of summoned fire elementals. However, the fire elementals have decided that they liked Quandali, proved resistant to banishment, and now pose nearly as much threat as the Swarm once did. Their numbers seem to be increasing, suggesting that a breach to the Plane of Fire now exists somewhere near Danloric.1

When the quorlus first came to Quandali, they found indications that they were not the first people to reside there. The most significant of these ruins is the Old Place, located between the equator and the south pole and built from heat-resistant materials, but the buildings are slowly sinking.1
