Gnawbores are Swarm components designed to break the hulls of enemy starships so the Swarm can harvest their biomass and supplies. They are armed with conventional weapons, which serve to deplete shields and incapacitate foes from afar before the gnawbore closes in with its titanic mandibles, which can gnaw through exposed hulls. Gnawbores are usually deployed in numbers, and can break even the staunchest armies when they rip their ships open.
