Ringworks Industries is a Verces-based starship manufacturer. Its products are affordable for those who find Vercite-level luxury too expensive, and have long been a standard to which other starships are compared.1

History

Ringworks is one of the oldest corporations in the Pact Worlds system, only debatably rivalled by AbadarCorp; historians estimate that it was founded a few centuries before the Gap. The aetherships Click this link to see if this article exists on PathfinderWiki. manufactured by Ringworks and launched from the Skydock were among the first spaceships within the Pact Worlds system.2 The space elevator connecting Skydock to the surface allowed heavy machinery and ship-building materials to be transported out of the gravity well and into orbit, where it is easier to mass-produce ships.1

Spaceship models

As time passed, Ringworks diversified its product line, turning away from luxury models toward practical, accessible ones, which has been company policy since the end of the Gap. Ringworks ships combine aircraft's aerodynamic lines with the durability to survive a vacuum, and usually lack luxuries but are fast and manoeuvrable; it is not uncommon to see Ringworks ships still in service 300 years after their manufacture date. Aesthetic changes are only implemented in small scales, ensuring that Ringworks' classic models stay recognisable in the market.21

Due to this longevity, collectors have created a very strong secondary market for Ringworks ships, buying early models, keeping the propulsion and manoeuvring intact, and retrofitting modern communications and navigation technology. Depending on the significance of events recorded in the ship's logs, these retrofitted ships can sell for more than newly manufactured ones.1

Relationships

Rumour has it that Ringworks is illegally collaborating with non-Pact Worlds companies (allegedly Forgeworks Innovations or even the Azlanti Star Empire) on top-secret research and development, something that management fiercely denies. This has led to controversies about Pact Worlds corporate law, and a call for greater public access to technological patents.2
