Tormentors are starships built from dark metals on the Shadow Plane by the velstracs as mobile bases with all resources necessary for experimentation on their foes. The exterior of a Tormentor is heavily armed and armoured, with wings capable of spreading wide and long hooked chains trailing behind it like a jellyfish's tentacles. Its interior is lined with manacles and chains, and its systems, though functional, are painful to use, with chains resembling torture instruments or razor-lined gauntlets that crew have to insert their hands into in order to interact with controls.1
