Midnight Trenches

The Midnight Trenches are a vast mine network on Aballon where precious starmetals, especially adamantine, are commonplace. After years of excavation, every worthwhile vein is now a branching tunnel; some secondary and tertiary ones are narrower than 5 feet. In the past, Aballonian factions co-existed peacefully here, but as demand for precious metals escalated, the Midnight Trenches have become a subterranean war zone, where Those Who Wait, Those Who Become and corporations engage in close-quarter skirmishes, seeking to disrupt others' mining operations. Adventurers and mercenaries alike can easily find work in the Midnight Trenches, and to attract the best, contracts are confidential and do not prevent one from working for another faction when they expire.
