Infinity

Infinity is one of the nine abandoned cities of the First Ones, and is located in the planet's southern hemisphere south of the Midnight Trenches and close to the anacite megaplex of Preceptum XIII. According to records from before the Gap, Infinity was moved at some point from where it was founded. A large, semispherical pit is located just to the east of the city, and it is assumed that this was its original location. During daylight hours, this crater is filled with liquid lead that cools and solidifies when temperatures drop precipitously at night. Scientists study the crater in the hopes of learning something about the First Ones, and certain members of the anacite Those Who Wait faction consider the crater a holy site. The most physically reselient of these members bathe their constructed bodies in the molten lead during the day, and spend the night in a contemplative state, encased in the solidified metal.
