Fields of Judgement

The Fields of Judgement are a mysterious 50-mile-wide area of unknown origin near the anacite megaplex of Automatrix on the planet Aballon. Any anacite or other construct who enters the Fields finds their systems begin to fail and eventually shuts down completely if they remain within it. The Fields' effect seems to be weaker on the edges and gets stronger as one approaches its center. The Fields are dotted with the remains of countless machines that have attempted to pass through it and failed, and the area is well-known all over Aballon. The anacite government uses the Fields as a place of execution for anacites convicted of terrible crimes where the condemned are forced to march into the Fields until they expire. They are allowed to bring allies with them to help, but so far none have escaped their sentence. Even though non-construct beings seem to be immune to the effects of the Fields of Judgement, they are forbidden by law from entering it.
