The Deep Cultures Institute is a scientific institution based in the bubble-city of Stellacuna in the Burning Archipelago in the Pact Worlds sun. They believe that at least an ancient deep culture still inhabits the sun, and are sometimes derided as mystics or Outer God cultists, despite their veneer of science. Every year, they challenge their rivals at the Sun Atlas to a debate, but Sun Atlas has never accepted, considering that doing so would add legitimacy to the Deep Cultures Insitute's outlandish theory.
