Solar University is the pre-eminent center for learning in the Burning Archipelago. Located in the bubble-city of Stellacuna, it offers degrees in many fields, but specializes in astrophysics and planar studies. The university receives thousands of applications every year, but since it can only support 2,000 students at a time, only the best and brightest are given admission. Solar University has a known reputation for not accepting bribes or large donations from families hoping to pay their way in, a culture strongly supported by the current dean of the school, Zilea Fosphor.

Trouble with summonings

There are ongoing problems with younger students in the planar studies department daring each other to summon larger and larger elementals within the university's binding labs. So far no students have been injured as a result, partially due to the young summoners' ineptitude, and partially due to increased late-night patrols.
