Fire Starters | Written by James L. Sutter | Released February 2019
A magical portal to the Plane of Fire disappears into the sun just after creatures exit it for the first time in recorded history. An overwhelming telepathic burst from within the sun quickly follows, and a scientist recruits the heroes to help her find out what's going on. The mission takes the heroes to the Burning Archipelago, a bubble city in the sun's atmosphere, and Asanatown, the lashunta enclave there, to meet with another scientist who can help. Before that meeting can happen, however, the recent psychic disturbance leads radicals among the telepathically sensitive lashuntas to take matters into their own hands, closing Asanatown off from the rest of the sun-based city. Trapped, the heroes must rescue their contact and return power to the proper authorities to escape!
Soldiers of Brass | Written by Crystal Frasier | Released March 2019
Now employees of solar researchers, the Deep Cultures Institute, the heroes are set to investigate what's happening in the sun. Burglars in the DCI museum throw that plan askew by facilitating the theft of DCI data. The missing files are compiled and cross-referenced rumors on potential intelligent life inside the Pact Worlds star, none substantiated. Who might want such speculation, and why? Following the robbers' path takes the characters to the bubble city of Corona and the infamous, unstable Brass Bazaar. It turns out the thieves weren't the only ones interested in the DCI's guesswork. The heroes must uncover who has the stolen data, find out where it's stored, and extract it. In the process, they discover more than they bargained for!
Sun Divers | Written by Joe Pasini | Released April 2019
With data recovered during the previous adventure, the characters have proof of an extant deep-culture site and the coordinates to travel there. What they lack is the technology to dive into the sun for a visit. A member of the Corona Artifact Divers, daredevils who delve into the sun's atmosphere for thrills and profit, has just what the heroes need. However, this genius diver is in debt to "business people" who have reclaimed the sun-diving starship to recoup their investments. The characters must go to the Burning Archipelago bubble of Verdeon, deal with those holding this "sundiver" starship, and take the vessel into the sun. Upon doing so, the heroes find a strange bubble-city called Noma, a discovery their employers at the Deep Cultures Institute have long sought, and uncover clues to a greater mystery!
The Blind City | Written by Ron Lundeen | Released May 2019
An ancient, eldritch tablet the heroes recovered during their previous adventure needs translating. However, when they take it to an expert for help, cultists of Azathoth attempt to steal the object for their own sinister purposes. After dealing with the zealots and deciphering the relic, the heroes learn of another deep-sun locale called Ezorod and the evil elder entity that has its attention focused there. With the tablet in hand, the heroes have the map and the key to Ezorod, allowing them to enter the place and explore it. When they do, they find a site as weird as its map. Within this lightless oubliette, the heroes face ghastly creatures and find magical technology that could advance sun diving by leaps. Taking it destabilizes Ezorod, and as the PCs escape the solar dungeon, they receive a mysterious message that heralds a future confrontation!
Solar Strike | Written by Mark Moreland | Released June 2019
Defend the deep! A cry for help from the sun's interior leads the characters to dive in again. Forces loyal to efreet from the Plane of Fire have conquered the deep-sun settlement of a peaceful alien species and threaten to destroy their way of life before it can be understood. The heroes must infiltrate the occupied city, make first contact with allies within, and defeat the fiery oppressors. As a strike team, the heroes take out high-value targets and restore the proper order. Mission accomplished, the heroes learn that this efreet attack is merely a beachhead for an invasion that could threaten the sun and the Pact Worlds!
Assault on the Crucible | Written by Jason Tondro | Released August 2019
While the heroes finish the liberation of an alien bubble-city in the sun, efreet launch an assault on the Burning Archipelago from within the star. The heroes have advantages of position, knowledge, and surprise, giving them a unique opportunity. With the aid of their new allies, the heroes can take the fight to the enemy base. Thwarting the efreet plot requires closing gates to the Plane of Fire and returning the Far Portal to the surface of the sun. However, the forces overseeing the base don't stand idle during this infiltration. In the end, the efreeti commander risks everything to crush the heroes and see his plan to dominate the Burning Archipelago through! |
