Cults
Ragadahn is a major deity worshipped on Kalo-Mahoi, whose native linnorms claim to be his descendants. His faith is at least as old as the kalo's recorded history; it is speculated that it might have originated from when the kalo first migrated from the First World. Ragadahn is usually seen as an embodiment of primal power and aquatic mastery, a being to be appeased to avoid disaster, without his followers' best interest in mind.2 The centre of his faith is Eld Ona, whose ancient architecture is made for gargantuan creatures, leading to speculation that it was once home to Ragadahn himself, or perhaps a different entity.1
Ruins in the deepest trenches of Kalo-Mahoi, which seemingly have nothing to do with the kalo, feature Ragadahn's spiral iconography.2
In ancient times, when linnorms were the kalo's greatest predators, Ragadahn's faith spread as the kalo prayed for protection and mercy from his children.3 In modern times, his faith is considered edgy but still acceptable.2 The Deep Resurgence, a reactionary political group led by a radical deepspeaker, claim that Ragadahn will return to punish the kalo for bringing 'land' (as they refer to air-breathing aliens) to his domain.4
