Climbing suckers are a biotechnological augmentation that cover the feet, hands, or other appropriate appendages of a recipient in fleshy slats that open and close. This grants the ability to climb vertical and upside-down horizontal surfaces as long as shoes or other similar foot coverings are not worn, although specialized clothing exists that allow the climbing suckers to function. Installation of these augments does not necessitate the replacement of feet or legs and can be installed in prosthetic limbs. Two types of climbing suckers are generally available: commercial and tactical. Tactical are the more advanced (and more expensive) version and allow for a faster climbing speed while carrying heavier equipment.12
