A datajack is a cybernetic augmentation that is installed in a recipient's brain and grants the ability to connect a computer or other digital storage media directly to the recipient's nervous system via a surgical port, removing the need for any other interface. Smaller computers can be directely connected to the port, while larger ones require an adapter cable. Datajacks come in three general varieties of increasing complexity and cost, with more expensive jacks granting the user additional facility in accessing the computer's data, although they do not obviate the need for a basic understanding of computer codes and systems.1
