Biotechnology

Biotechnology refers to both the practice of fusing biological sciences with technology to replace or augment natural functions, and the resulting devices, manufacturing elements, or procedures. 1 Augments typically include modifications to a recipient's DNA as well as implants of biological origin that integrate into physiology. 2
