Inverted Orbit

From StarfinderWiki

The Inverted Orbit is an space anomaly consisting of a miniature star orbiting an uninhabited terrestrial planet, located at the border of the Plane of Earth and the Plane of Fire. While many of the former's inhabitants see it as a curiosity, some efreet are outraged, viewing it as a mockery created by flippant shaitans and demanding its destruction, though no genie has admitted to its creation.1

Both the planet and star exhibit anomalous properties: the planet's mass and composition are unremarkable and insufficient to keep a star in orbit, while the star, outside of its size, exhibits all of a red dwarf's features. Both celestial bodies exhibit an unidentified type of electromagnetic radiation which causes mild nausea to marids and djinn who approach. While most official studies have stopped due to the lack of information or points of interest on the planet, a group of azer scientists have noticed some similarities between the Inverted Orbit and the beliefs of some ancient Material Plane sages, according to whom their home planets were the centre of the universe.1 The azers speculate that the Inverted Orbit is the result of planar bleed from the First World, and hopes to find evidence for their hypothesis under the planet's surface.2
