Plague oozes are a species of mindless oozes that lived in the wilds of Aucturn, supposedly released there by cultists of Urgathoa. They reproduced either by converting Aucturn's flesh into plague oozes, or by infecting victims with the ooze plague, an infectious disease which shows no symptoms in its latent state and turns victims into plague oozes when they die. Due to this method of propagation, plague oozes have spread out to several planets in the Vast, which means that they as a species survived the destruction of the planet Aucturn in 324 AG.
