Magma oozes are a species of mindless oozes made of molten lava.1
Appearance
The typical magma ooze is 10 feet wide when its body is 6 inches thick, and weighs 2 tons. Being made of molten rock, it radiates intense heat and can throw chunks of itself at enemies when agitated.1
Habitat
Magma oozes are native to the Plane of Earth and Plane of Fire. They can also form through magic or planar influences near volcanoes on the Material Plane, or when molten rock is pulled into the Drift. Magma oozes instinctively avoid water and cold, as the former turns them stiff and immobile, while the latter causes them to split.1
