Imperial conquest, sometimes styled as Imperial Conquest,12 is an ancient strategy board game for up to four players. Its rules are simple but strategically deep. A match takes up to 30 minutes per player to complete and exercises its players' tactical planning.34
It is widely played by many peoples across the known galaxy,567891011121314 and starship crews and passengers often play it to pass the time during long journeys.41516
Although it is typically played via holographic interfaces,3 meticulously restored antique physical editions of imperial conquest can sell for up to 5,000 credits to collectors.17 Variants of the game depict real-world societies as its four player factions.2
