Grindhold
Grindhold is small, fortified city located near the equator of Aucturn, home to a cult of Nyarlathotep that maintains independence from Carsai the King and the Citadel of the Black. It supports a small spaceport and specialises in poisons, drugs and explosives manufactured by its human and dwarven specialists. Its suprisingly professional milita trains with living starships shaped like bats with grasping mandibles. According to High Visionary Habblegeth who rules Grindhold, the city is protected from Carsai by her knowledge of the Black Pharaoh's 'secret truths', contrary to rumours that hold that Grindhold only survives at Carsai's whim.1
