The Fury Place was a rubbery plain of stunted trees hundreds of miles across that was located near the northern ice cap of the destroyed planet Aucturn. It was riven by a deep chasm where a cloud of strange narcotic gas roiled and spread out for several hundred miles. Most creatures that inhaled this mist became enraged, attacking everything nearby, except for a rare few who can resisted it. Prior to the Gap, this area was known as the Loving Place, and encouraged lust; even older accounts record creatures falling into lassitude and eventually dying of starvation. Because of this, historians speculate that, through the ages, this region cycled across different sins: sloth to lust, and lust to wrath. Since some visitors were able to resist it, these scholars theorise that another sin would take wrath's place soon.1 Their speculation will never be confirmed, however, as Aucturn was destroyed in 324 AG.2
