God-Host
The God-Host is a Swarm component bred to lead the Swarm's evolution into divinity.1
Appearance
The God-Host resembles a colossal hydra-like insect that constantly emits a psychic keening reverberating through its chamber.2 Each of its five heads is capable of controlling the God-Host and spewing sticky resin.3
Background
After invading and consuming the shirren colony of Ilemchuuva in 318 AG, the Swarm formed a subcolony to trace the shirrens' exodus in the hopes of discovering Hylax's holy sites and claiming her power, led by the God-Host which would serve as the vessel for divinity until it could be disseminated throughout the entire Swarm. The next year, the God-Host brought the subcolony to invade Suskillon. After several months, the Suskillon military was overwhelmed, and the God-Host took residence in the temple of Hylax in the Jurdos Mountains.14
The God-Host has approached divinity enough that it can access mystical power. It has directed Swarm programmers to infuse this mystical energy into effigenes to create a new type of components.35
