Yaruks are a species of immense six-legged destructive herbivores native to Castrovel.

Ecology

Yaruks are browsers, relying on their sturdy forelimbs to climb trees and reach high-growing leaves. In their migrations, yaruks are notoriously destructive, clearing swathes of pathways and game trails through thick canopies and allowing for new growth. Yaruks are usually solitary, only temporarily gathering in moots by calling other yaruks with deafening bellows magnified by their hollow crests, which are audible up to 3 miles away in typical outdoor conditions. Moots last for up to a week before the individual members disperse again.
