Taru Seco is a binary star system in Near Space consisting of Taru Major and Taru Minor, and the second brightest star after Cynosure as seen from the Pact Worlds system, .1

Inhabitants

For millennia, Taru Seco has been the battleground between the tarumen and secorans, who established fortresses within the stars after their home planets were bombed into becoming uninhabitable. The origin of the war is unknown, and at this point irrelevant, as the two races have committed enough atrocities to continue the war until one is destroyed, although the two seem evenly matched. Pacifism is charged with treason, and each species' art always features the other as irredeemable villains. Even the most experienced Hylaxian and Sarenite negotiators view Taru Seco as a lost cause.2

The planets orbiting Taru Seco are home to the bizarre ruins of cities built by an advanced, long-disappeared civilisation. When asked, tarumens and secorans say that the builders of these cities left long ago (possibly to avoid the war), and both races sometimes use them as temporary bases, leaving behind outdated technology.2
