Sextons are a type of velstracs that are fanatical and addicted to pain, even by the standards of their kind.1
Appearance
A sexton appears as a tall, muscular humanoid whose torso is elongated and attached with an additional pair of arms. Its flesh is pallid, bloodless, icy cold and marred with scars. Shadow spines stick out of a sexton's back and can be fired off, and chains of nanocarbon protrude from its body.1
Ecology
Sextons are fanatically loyal to other velstracs and are so addicted to pain that they become crippled if they have not received pain for too long. They prefer to be administered pain by other beings, but are willing to harm themselves to sate their addiction if there's no one to do so for them.1
