Hounds of Tindalos are predators from the Dimension of Time. They have some sort of connection to the angles of reality, which allows them to appear anywhere and at any time as long as they appear near some physical angle.1

Ecology

Hounds of Tindalos hunt down those who dare test or go beyond the borders of reality, usually by travelling through time, subverting the limits of time and space, or misusing the Drift. Fearful tales have been told of hounds of Tindalos invading starships as they enter or exit the Drift, where abandoned ships can be found with them still trapped inside, unable to escape with their magic.1

Habitat

It is speculated that hounds of Tindalos, unlike other life, dwells among the angles instead of the curves of time. As a result, they treat angles as doorways in the fabric of spacetime and can appear from them like smoke.1

Society

Hounds of Tindalos oppose yithians, especially when yithians are borrowing bodies and even moreso if the mind swap lasts long, possibly because the act of mind swapping is offensive to the hounds of Tindalos. Yithians once attempted to mind swap with hounds of Tindalos, only to discover the futility and danger of doing so.1

The meaning of the term Tindalos is unknown. Prekliken's Book of Cults and some other texts claim that it is a place on 'the far side of time' guarded by the hounds. Others claim that Tindalos is a creature, perhaps a Great Old One, or means apocalypse in an extinct language.1

Variants

Enormous hounds of Tindalos, known as things from beyond time, have been seen manifesting near black holes for unknown reasons. One story tells of a thing from beyond time invading a vesk capital ship carrying the Trafodi Paradox from Vesk-2 to Vesk Prime; according to official reports, this ship fell victim to the Swarm.12
