Glaiads are nymphs who protect the ring systems surrounding a planet or moon. Some diplomatically work with others to preserve their homes, while others have become embittered and violent in the face of unbridled disruption of their wards. A glaiad's bond with her bonded ring system allows her to teleport from one particle in it to another within seconds. Glaiads defend their wards by throwing shards of razor-sharp ice and manipulating gravity on the ring system.
