Formian warriors, along with formian workers, are the lowest caste of formians and are overseen by the formian taskmasters. They are all sterile females who are imbued with greater independence and individual identity than the other castes in order to make them more effective in combat. This means that they more often rebel against unpopular commands than others, and are more likely to leave their hive.
