Zeffrac Science Platform is a scientific space station orbiting Nchak. Just over 25 years ago, a sudden decompression killed thousands of people there, including the entire Wise Council, a group of 14 shirren scientists who govern it. However, it was then revealed that all of them had died long ago and become hosts to dycepskian parasites, whose plan to crash the station into Nchak was foiled by the decompression. No one has claimed responsibility for the event, leading conspiracy theorists to blame the Unseen. Zeffrac Science Platform is currently led by a mixed-race council subject to regular scrutiny and medical examinations, who periodically hire adventurers to discover the culprit.
