Vespers hounds are a species of canine-like outsiders bred, trained and surgically altered by the velstracs.1
Appearance
In place of a head, a vespers hound has a fifth limb; it is unknown if this limb is natural or artificial. Its spine is a spiked chain, originally added by the velstracs, that runs acros its back and is capable of extending to envelop prey. A vespers hound is approximately 5 feet long, 3 feet tall and weighs 140 pounds.1
Ecology
Velstracs employ vespers hounds as pets and trackers due to their ability to sniff out places filled with corruption and suffering. Their presence seems to enhance dormant shadow corruptions, and they enjoy eating such corrupted mortals despite having no need for food.1
