Statiketes are lamprey-like beasts that drain electricity and discharge it back at foes. They lurk in the shadows of space, especially among debris like asteroid belts, and pose a grave danger to the crew of passing starships. A typical statikete's crystalline and metallic body weighs around 15 tons and measures 20 feet long. A dead statikete's skeleton can be refitted as a starship frame.
