Spookfish are schools of undead fish haunting the dried Irkonian Sea in Akiton.1
Appearance
Each spookfish is dotted with false eyespots along its flanks, which disorients those hapless enough to be caught in a spookfish swarm. Individually tiny, they rise from the deserts and swim through the air in massive numbers, and attack with serrated teeth.1
Ecology
Archaelogists have unearthed fossils resembling the spookfish beneath the prehistoric Irkonian Sea, suggesting that the entire species was wiped out when a meteor caused the ocean to evaporate. They inflict a curse that causes victims to feel as if standing in invisible chest-high water, hindering movement.1
