Space travel

Space travel (sometimes referred to as space flight) is the ability to travel through the vacuum of space. For most species it requires specialized technology, biology, or powerful magic to survive in the airless environment and cover the massive distances between celestial bodies.

Technological space travel

Travel between planets in a solar system is generally accomplished via spaceships, starships. Travel from one system or star to another generally requires a starship capable of faster-than-light travel. Since the advent of the Signal and the introduction of Drift travel, interstellar travel generally is accomplished using Drift engines.
