An astronomical object (alternately called a celestial object or celestial body) is an object or cohesive group of objects demonstrated to exist in the observable universe. Examples include galaxies; stars, star clusters, and solar systems; nebulae; and planets and other planetoids, such as moons, asteroids, and comets.1
