Shard divers are a species of gas giant dwellers that dwell in the turbulent atmosphere and feed upon precious minerals ejected from their cores. Extremely territorial, they attack anything perceived as competition with jagged protrusions on their heads and necks, infused with starmetals. Bulbous sacs located along their elongated bodies propel shard divers by emitting electromagnetic pulses. Shard drivers typically weigh 30 tons and measure 120 feet long.
