Root access
A user with root access to a computer can use or manipulate any module or system, or access any information or functionality, on that computer. Root access is typically reserved for the user who purchased or builds a computer, but other users can gain root access through hacking. A firewall can also grant certain users root access to specific modules on a computer.1
