Melos is a mysterious, uninhabited moon in orbit around Liavara. 1 Its entire population vanished in what may have been a rapturous religious ascendance or a more sinister event, though it remains a treasure trove for archaeologists and salvagers. 1
Geography
Melos' natural beauty is well-known, but it is more notable for the eerie, ruined, once-great cities, abandoned for millennia. Currently, archaeologists are focusing on three expedition sites: Etraos, once thought to be the Melosian capital; Chyraos, a temple complex dedicated to deities unknown elsewhere; and Thrienos, the resting place of many of Melos' greatest heroes. 2
Inhabitants
The entire native population of Melos disappeared during the Taking, an event that happened millennia ago and is described as either a religious rapture or a sinister genocide. Since then, the only inhabitants of Melos have been archaeologists seeking to discover the mystery of the Taking. 2
