Law is one of the five axes of alignment used to describe the philosophy and actions of individuals or groups. Lawful persons tend to believe in a strong personal code or adhere to a society's laws. They tend to respect authority, although they may oppose authority figures acting in an extralegal manner, and judge others who fail to do likewise. Law is opposed in the alignment axis (see to the right) by chaos.1
