Kamora, more a ryphorian military city-state than a political nation, is located in the Allied Territories of the planet Triaxus in the Pact Worlds system. It enforces compulsory army service for most adults due to the constant threat of ranoneks—enormous vampiric beasts from the nearby Uchorae Jungle. With more guns than citizens, Kamorans are rigorously trained in group fighting techniques to defend against ranonek attacks. The high commander, Echera, contemplates sending elite units into the jungle to preemptively counter the growing threats, but the populace remains skeptical.1
