Church of Silence
More information about this subject might be available on PathfinderWiki. |
The Church of Silence is a monument dedicated to the Song of Silence, an Eoxian philosophy that concerns itself with the perfection of undeath, located on a highland near Orphys, which used to be an island off the coast of Atraskia. For countless millennia, it has been neutral ground and the closest thing the bone sages have to a sacred place. It is overseen by the Council of Whispers, a group of elder bone sages who have given up secular matters in favour of undeath research, and who specifically include no member of the Eternal Convocation. Within the Wordless Halls, the central and oldest part of the Church of Silence, the Conclave of Whispers seeks to gathers all lore on death and undeath across the galaxy, much of it lost to time. Only non-living creatures like undead, androids and robots are allowed within the Wordless Halls, as long as they obey the rules; living necromancers are only granted access to the outer sections, which have much less lore and space, if they specifically ask for permission to research specific topics and especially if they barter for access with previously-unknown lore.1
