Bastion

Bastion is the name given to the primary headquarters of the Stewards, the non-governmental peacekeeping organization that protects the members of the Pact Worlds government. It is a fortified structure located in the central dome of Absalom Station in the Pact Worlds system, and houses the offices of the Director-General and his staff, the director of Absalom Station, and an admiral from Overwatch (the Stewards' fleet command). It is also home of the Conclave of Legates (a council of respected Stewards who review overall policy and high-profile cases) and the nexus of the Draws, the network of interplanetary gates used to transport Stewards. As a place of vital importance to the Stewards, Bastion is highly fortified against attack and could function independently of Absalom Station if the two were ever separated.

History

The Stewards' former headquarters was Peacewatch, a fortress located in the high Klebani Range of Verces, which is still used for training new initiates to the organization.
