Barachius
Barachiuses are a class of angels that oversee the development of technology to ensure it isn't twisted for evil purposes.1
Appearance
A barachius' body is clad in sleek, glowing armour. It either wields a sword that pulses with the light of the stars or a glowing laser rifle. Within the feathers of a barachius' wing, patterns mimic digital arrays and computer wiring. Its head looks like an elaborate helm.1
Ecology
Barachiuses can near-perfectly understand the nature of any technology that they encounter. Tasked with monitoring the planes both to protect mortals from malicious technology and to quash technologically advanced evil cultures, barachiuses specialise against subtle technological threats that might go unnoticed by other celestials. They might achieve this task by patrolling technologically advanced settlements, keeping watch over cutting edge research facilities, or protecting primitive species from being enslaved or destroyed by advanced foes. Exactly how and why they deem some particular technology immoral is a mystery, as is how they choose to protect a particular race and not others.1
Rarely, a barachius might take a more redemptive approach, turning a target, usually an android or robot, away from evil instead of destroying them.1
